S-SES Model

Blue Matter worked with the BC Freshwater Fisheries Society to update the landscape model (S-SES) that integrates social and biological information associated with small lakes fisheries in BC.

The model informs small lake management plans by integrating socio-ecological aspects into objective setting to assist with decision making around stocking and regulation setting that anticipates landscape-level feedbacks.

Blue Matter supported regional fisheries managers in visualizing and understanding trade-offs in fisheries associated with different management decisions.
